Greenwich Police say they observed a motorist traveling with its lights out in the Cos Cob area on Tuesday, Sept. 17 around 4 a.m.
When officers tried to stop the vehicle, the driver allegedly sped away.
Police say the three occupants, all from Bridgeport, abandoned the vehicle after a minor collision disabled it.
The occupants were subsequently located and taken into custody, according to police.
Police say they recovered several items that had been taken from unlocked vehicles belonging to local residents.
The three occupants, whose names have not been released, were charged with larceny and burglary and referred to Juvenile Court. The 15-year-old driver also faces numerous motor vehicle violations, police say.
Police remind residents to keep their vehicles locked and take their keys when they park.
